Overview :
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Security Analyst to join our security team. The Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents to protect the organization's data and infrastructure.
Total Experience : 2-5 years
Role & Responsibilities :
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security tools to identify and analyze potential security threats.
- Perform real-time analysis of security alerts and incidents, determining their severity and escalating as necessary.
- Investigate security incidents and breaches, performing root cause analysis and remediation.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and protocols.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
- Maintain detailed records of security incidents and prepare reports on security metrics.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and external security vendors.
Must Have Skills :
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
- Strong understanding of network, cloud, and application security principles.
- Experience with SIEM use case development, correlation rules, and alert tuning.
- Strong understanding of Linux system hardening and security best practices.
- Knowledge of network security (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, VPNs, Firewalls).
- Experience with incident investigation and log analysis.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and threat detection methodologies.
- Experience writing Bash/Python scripts for automation.
Preferred Skills :
- Hands-on experience with Wazuh.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security monitoring.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes security monitoring.
- Knowledge of OpenSearch/Elasticsearch administration.
- Familiarity with SOAR concepts and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, PCI DSS).
Qualification : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Certifications :
- Relevant certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification (Needed). CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are desirable.
