Working with the Product Development team, you will help to solve complex problems while developing awesome kids’ battery-operated products. We are looking for a creative engineer who can bring ideas, solve electromechanical challenges, drive the product into production on schedule and collaborate with vendors and Procurement team to hit target costs and more.\nSpecific responsibilities include:\nDevelop electromechanical solutions, partnering with Product Development Engineers and Industrial Designers to solve technical challenges.\nBuild electrical prototypes to prove out concepts, functionality, and performance before products move into production.\nUse AI-assisted development tools to build, test, and debug embedded firmware for hardware such as motor controllers, drive trains, sensors, and user interface features.\nSupport schematic design and PCB layout for new electrical components.\nDefine the specification of electronic components, bill of materials (BOM), and costing for development for new products.\nEvaluate and define battery and charge management protection for battery-operated ride-ons and other motorized products.\nTest and validate products against applicable safety and regulatory standards, including ASTM F963, CPSC, UL, and FCC/EMC requirements.\nBuild custom web apps and dashboard tools, leveraging AI coding tools to support engineering and testing workflows.\nCommunicate and collaborate with engineers, vendors, and cross-functional teams in the U.S. and overseas through email and video/conference calls.\nRequirements/ Qualification:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.\nEffective problem solver who is committed to producing products of exceptional quality and beautiful design. \nExperience with electronic prototyping platforms such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi\nExperience with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, data acquisition systems, and oscilloscopes\nStrong project management skills and experience working with overseas vendors. \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbove all, the individual must commit to our values:\nFUNatical Customer Service\nLive with Integrity\nYes I Can\nExcellence in Everything\nResponsible for Success\nWe are looking for people who live our values and support our vision and mission!\nQualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, or disability.\nThe salary for this exempt position is $75,000 - $95,000.
