We value mindset as pivotal: anticipating guest needs, supporting your department, and consistently delivering memorable experiences.\nWe are dedicated to nurturing and growing talent, offering pathways for advancement, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.\nAs a Duty Engineer, you play a vital role in ensuring our properties deliver an experience beyond expectation, creating memorable moments for our guests.\nSupports the smooth running of the property maintenance department, where all areas are maintained to the highest levels\nWorks proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries\nDelivers on plans and objectives where property maintenance initiatives & hotel targets are achieved - Manages the maintenance team fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department\nResponsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained\nBuilds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders\nDelivers an effective planned preventative maintenance programme addressing maintenance, environmental and conservation matters\nAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY\nGENERAL\nAssist the Chief Engineer in making preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment in the mechanical & electrical equipment, laundry, kitchen and swimming pool.\nComplete preventative maintenance schedules for equipment in the major plant including chillers, cooling towers, air conditioning units and fans, pumps, automatic control systems, etc. and update in CMMS.\nEnsures that all equipment is operated effectively by directing and supervising the operation of all running equipment.\nUtilises leadership skills and motivation techniques in order to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction of direct reports.\nArranges to keep adequate level of supplies and spare parts in store relevant to maintenance requirements within jurisdiction and informs the Engineering Coordinator & Chief Engineer of equipment and supply requirement.\nMaintains routine reports by recording daily meter readings and interpreting daily log sheets.\nKeeps Chief Engineer closely informed of anything that could indicate malfunctions.\nEnsures that all applicable requirements are being complied with by maintaining contact with local authorities such as fire brigade, electricity suppliers and the Health Department.’\nImprove the effectiveness and efficiency of the operation of the department and/or hotel whenever possible by making suggestions to the Chief Engineer.\nEnsures that all employees follow safety rules and emergency procedures.\nManage the day-to-day rectification of all Maintenance Work Order (MWO) coming from other department.\nIn the absence of his superior, he will attend the daily HOD meeting and report to him what was transpired from the said meeting.\nInvestigates and recommends sources when local purchasing of contract services, equipment, parts and supplies for the Department is required; also monitors and controls Contractor activities.\nDetermines, communicates and monitors achievement of standards of performance on a timely basis.\nEmploys respectful discipline as required.\nActively participates departmental activities and property events.\nAttends relevant training to remain current on proper techniques.\nMaintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.\nTakes corrective action where required to improve safety of work area.\nPerforms any other duties as requested by the Chief Engineer.\nGUEST ROOMS\nLead the guest rooms maintenance program and communicate with required department pertaining to schedules and included works, noisy works etc.\nInspect and accepts maintenance works prior to the Chief Engineer’s final inspection to be handed over for Housekeeping. Room after maintenance works are expected to be spotless and in new condition.\nLead rooms operations such as guest call and outright maintenance requests. Closely coordinate with front Office Manager/ Duty Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor/ Executive Housekeeper pertaining to repair works, Out of Service or Out of Order rooms, updates etc.\nAssist Electromechanical Technician in room servicing such as technical support, communicating with guest and relaying of additional request to required department.\nConduct walkaround in guest rooms for obvious floor and room defects for maintenance.\nCreate monthly reports pertaining to top 5 guest complaints and top 5 issues raised by housekeeping and create resolutions on issues.\nPLANT & UTILITIES, LAUNDRY and KITCHEN\nConducts regular routine inspection on critical/ major equipment serving the hotel.\nProvide technical support and physical assistance to Electro-mechanical technician as needed.\nDetects when plant or equipment needs repair, or when it is not economically justifiable to repair, by closely monitoring repair history of all major equipment.\nClose coordination with Mall Engineering pertaining to Electrical, Potable Water and Chilled water supplies for any irregularities or scheduled maintenance and testing.\nCreate monthly utility report and interpret the factors contributing the rise and fall of a specific utility unit.\nCreate monthly equipment preventive maintenance update, challenges, accomplishments and resolution on issues.\nPUBLIC AREA\nConducts regular routine inspection on hotel facilities and ensure that all equipment is operational such as background music, lightings and AC.\nEnsure that scheduled maintenance works are implemented with timely request for materials and manpower requirement.\nEnsure that all areas for Back and Front of House are in pristine condition such as paint jobs, furniture repair, ceiling are free from leak marks etc.\nCreate monthly equipment preventive maintenance update, challenges, accomplishments and resolution on issues.\nAdheres to hotel policies and procedures\nAttends work on time and as scheduled\nFollows hotel grooming, hygiene and dress standards\nMinimize safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedure.\nRefrain from personal conversations with other employee at the main entrance.\nKeeps immediate manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance\nPerforms all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position\nMaintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote co-operative and harmonious working climate\nAt all time projects a favorable image of the Brand to the public\n A licensed Mechanical Engineer\nProven experience in property maintenance with excellent problem-solving capabilities\nExcellent managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead- by-example work style\nCommitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry\nAbility to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations\nMinimum of one - three years work experience in the hotel industry in Engineering\nMinimum one-year supervisory experience preferred\nBachelor’s degree preferred\nAble to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee\nAble to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork\nAdvance knowledge of building management and engineering\nExcellent organizational skills\nGood oral and written communication skills\nWorking knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and life safety operating systems\n Why Join Radisson Hotel Group?\nLive the Magic of Hospitality - Be part of a team that creates exceptional experiences and memorable moments every day.
