Finance Manager – Europe (based in Brussels)

The Finance Manager will support the Executive Team and key stakeholders by providing high-quality financial management, reporting, and analysis within an international business environment. The role will play a critical part in ensuring transparency, accuracy, and insight in financial reporting, with a strong focus on shareholder reporting and performance analysis. The successful candidate will act as a trusted finance partner, delivering clear financial insights to senior leadership and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. They will also have deep knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, procedures within Chinese culture and protocol.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all reporting cycles.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports to internal stakeholders and shareholders.
• Conduct deep financial analysis to support business performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Support the preparation of shareholder reporting materials, including board-level presentations and financial summaries.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial performance and business strategy.
• Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and internal policies.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, and forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to strategic planning through robust financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring full documentation and transparency.
• Translate financial data and insights clearly for both English and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in finance within an international company.
• Strong experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Proven experience in shareholder reporting and exposure to executive-level stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin), both written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of international financial standards.
