Verifies accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., accounts receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, payrolls, receipts, accounts payable). Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs; compiles data and prepares a variety of reports. Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers. Also responsible for general accounting, cost accounting, and budgeting\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nKnow and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.\nKnow, understand, and follow department policies and procedures. \nCost Accounting responsibilities including overhead expense allocations, supporting CAS disclosure updates, Inventory forecasting, and fully managing all physical inventory counts.\nPrepares daily sales & margin reports as well as various costing pareto reports for upper management.\nSupports regulatory audits.\nApplies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.\nCompiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. \nPrepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries \nMaintains financial metrics for company management.\nAssists in the development of budgets, forecasts and variance reports as required by management.\nEstablishes, or recommends to management and corporate staff, economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company. \nPrepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.\nProvides management and corporate staff with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.\nPrepares reports required by corporate staff and regulatory agencies.\nCreates Accounts Receivable invoices and applies cash receipts to invoices. \nInterfaces with Shipping, Sales, Program management or other departments to obtain pricing data, purchase orders or other data to prepare invoices and resolve customer disputes. \nFrequently monitors Accounts Receivable aging and follows up with customer to obtain payment and researches past due balance or credits. \nPrepares bank deposit and monitors electronic cash receipts with bank. \nUpdates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., accounts receivable, receipts). \nEnters data into computer systems using defined computer programs; compiles data and prepares reports. \nReconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers. \nMay reconcile bank and financial statements/report. \nResearches and processes charge back, returns, and bad checks.
