You’ll work with people who are passionate about what they do.\nPosition Summary\nRadius Aerospace manufactures sheet metal parts and assemblies for the aviation industry, using advanced metal-forming and specialized processes across commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.\nWe’re seeking a 2nd shift Press Operator with strong mechanical skills, precision, and attention to detail to produce critical aerospace components. In this role, you’ll operate and monitor equipment, manage heat-treating processes, perform setups and adjustments, inspect parts, assemble components, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineers and production teams. If you take pride in quality and accuracy, your work will help keep the world flying.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nOperate automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.\nControl heat-treating furnaces, baths and quenching equipment to alter physical and chemical properties of metal objects, using specifications and methods of controlled heating/cooling\nPlace parts in racks, trays, or baskets and places objects on conveyor or loads\nDetermine temperature and time of heating cycle, and type and temperature of baths and quenching medium to attain specified hardness, toughness, and ductility of parts.\nUse standard heating charts, utilize knowledge of heat treating methods, equipment, and properties of metals. \nStart and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.\nVerify conformance of finished work piece to specifications.\nSet up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.\nFit and assembles parts into complete assembly.\nVerifie dimensions and alignment of assembly.\nInstall machine replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.\nPartner with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.\n\nEducation and Experience Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\nEmployee Benefits: Our employees are our most valuable asset.
