We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.\nSummary\nPlans, organizes, directs and reports on all supplier quality-related activities such as raw materials, contracted designed and manufactured items, packaging materials, good manufacturing practices (GMP) service providers, and laboratories to assure procurements meet or exceed the requirements. Verifies and validates suppliers and/or subcontractors have received engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements. Ensures that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by suppliers and quality system is maintained. Ensures programs are in place and designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation.\nPrepares, maintains and reviews procurement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with customer and/or government requirements. Reviews and analyzes corrective action reports and purchase orders in an effort to reduce and eliminate defects. Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities. May monitor a certified supplier program or related programs in receiving inspection and other quality areas. May also audit third-party manufacturers to ensure due diligence and vendor selection process. May perform deviation investigations into quality issues.\nEssential Duties\nEnsure that Radius QMS conforms to Customer, AS9100, NADCAP and regulatory / legal requirements\nOversee Supplier’s - audits, vendor discrepancies, \nSupplier portal - Quality surveys (surveillance), Quality approvals, DPD approvals \nOversee the inspection of incoming materials, in-process and final product ensuring they meet requirements \nOversees inspection personnel (scheduling, performance reviews, etc.)\nTraining employees on Quality procedures\nPerforms root cause analysis of discrepancies (System or product) and implement corrective actions\nAnalyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints\nApproves planned sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production operations\nEvaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and analytical equipment (MSA studies)\nPerform Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) on new programs to minimize or eliminate risk by focusing on prevention and continuous improvement\nApplies Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for analyzing data (where applicable) \nResponsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 6S, Kaizen lean methods, process improvements, etc..\nManage the monitoring, measurement and review of internal process\nWorks with Engineering and Operations to ensure company goals are met \nPrepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data\nAssist in developing training to build quality awareness\nPerforms audit (internal, external)\nEnsure that employees under their direction comply with cybersecurity and CUI handling requirements, including completion of training, restricted access controls, and timely reporting of potential violations.
