This role manages complex payroll activities, supports payroll-related reporting and audits, and serves as a knowledgeable resource for employees, managers and applicable vendors.\nThe ideal candidate has strong experience with ADP Workforce Now, multi-state payroll processing, international payroll coordination, timekeeping systems and FLSA compliance. This individual is detail-oriented, analytical and comfortable managing payroll cycles with a high degree of independence.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess accurate and timely payroll for employees across multiple U.S. states and support international locations.\nAdminister biweekly or other assigned payroll cycles, including payroll inputs, validations, payroll review and final approval.\nManage complex payroll transactions, including regular and supplemental pay, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, reimbursements, taxable benefits and adjustments.\nProcess payroll using ADP Workforce Now, including reviewing calculations, maintaining payroll records and resolving system-related issues.\nWork with Global Payroll Director on global payroll activities with external providers, regional payroll contacts and internal stakeholders, including supporting implementation activities.\nReview payroll registers, funding reports and audit reports to identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll finalization.\nSupport payroll tax, wage and hour, garnishment and regulatory compliance activities.\nMaintain knowledge of federal, state, local and applicable international payroll requirements.\nInterpret and apply FLSA rules, in partnership with human resources and legal, including exemptions, overtime calculations, regular rate requirements and recordkeeping obligations.\nPartner with HR, Finance, Benefits, Legal and operational teams on payroll changes, reconciliations and employee inquiries.\nMaintain employee payroll data and support integrations between HR, payroll and timekeeping systems.\nReview employee classifications, work locations, pay rates, schedules and time reporting for accuracy.\nMonitor timekeeping practices and help ensure compliance with company policy and applicable wage and hour regulations.\nPerform payroll reconciliations involving payroll liabilities, taxes, benefits, deductions and general ledger accounts.\nGenerate recurring and ad hoc payroll reports for management, Finance and HR.\nAssist with year-end processing, including W-2s, international reporting, payroll reconciliations and audit support.\nParticipate in payroll system enhancements, testing, process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.\nMaintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive employee and payroll information.\nProvide functional guidance and mentorship to payroll team members as needed.\nCommunicates professionally and appropriately with employees, co-workers, and management.\nThe duties of this position involve the exercise of independent discretion and judgment on matters of significance to the business.\nProvide operational and strategic support regarding high level matters that impact the operations of the business.\nKeep up-to-date knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, with functional area, and with Company policies and procedures.\nMaintain regular attendance, schedule adherence and timeliness which are required due to the production-based nature of the business and client requirements.\nAdhere to the practices outlined in the Information Security Management System\nProvide proactive feedback to management concerning potential problems and recommendations for improvement. Recommend process improvements for efficiencies and best practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, business administration or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.\nFive to seven or more years of progressively responsible payroll experience.\nDemonstrated experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now.\nExperience processing payroll across multiple states and supporting national or global payroll operations.\nWorking knowledge of timekeeping systems, payroll integrations and employee time-entry processes.\nStrong understanding of FLSA requirements and federal, state and local wage and hour regulations.\nExperience with payroll reconciliations, audits and payroll reporting.\nAdvanced attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.\nStrong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple payroll deadlines.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering and data analysis.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience coordinating payroll across multiple countries or regions.\nADP Workforce Now reporting, configuration or implementation experience.\nCertified Payroll Professional designation or Fundamental Payroll Certification.\nExperience with payroll provider relationships and service-level management.\nKnowledge of international payroll, taxation and employment practices.\nExperience supporting payroll audits, compliance reviews or system conversions.\nExperience in a fast-paced, multi-entity or multinational organization.\nCore Competencies\nPayroll accuracy and compliance\nADP Workforce Now expertise\nGlobal payroll coordination\nFLSA and wage-and-hour knowledge\nTimekeeping and payroll-system administration\nReconciliation and data analysis\nConfidentiality and sound judgment\nProcess improvement\nClear communication\nDeadline management\nWork Environment\nIt requires regular management of confidential information and occasional extended hours during payroll close, quarter-end or year-end processing.\nPayroll certification preferred.
