The key requirement is strong SIP and VoIP expertise and the ability to troubleshoot and optimise complex voice environments.\nThis role is based alongside the team in Crewe, with a hybrid pattern of 3 days per week in the office.\nWhat you'll be doing...\nDesign, deploy and maintain enterprise voice and unified communications platforms.\nManage SIP trunks, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), call routing and dial plans.\nSupport cloud telephony platforms, including contact centre solutions.\nMaintain voice platform availability, resilience and performance.\nInvestigate and resolve voice-related incidents and service requests.\nDiagnose SIP signalling, media flow and call quality issues.\nWork with telecommunications providers and vendors to resolve carrier issues.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.\nSupport voice network requirements, including QoS, firewalls, routing and security.\nAssist with telephony migrations, platform upgrades and transformation projects.\nSupport disaster recovery and business continuity requirements for voice services.\nProactively monitor voice environments and service performance.\nIdentify opportunities to improve call quality, reliability and operational efficiency.\nProduce reports on service availability, utilisation and performance metrics.\nMaintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams and operational procedures.\nDevelop and maintain voice engineering standards and best practices.\nSupport audit, compliance and security requirements relating to voice services.\nWhat we're looking for...\nProven experience of enterprise level voice and collaboration platforms and call recording and reporting solutions.\nStrong experience supporting SIP-based voice solutions.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Teams phone including direct routing and Operator Connect.\nExcellent understanding of SIP signalling, RTP and VoIP technologies.\nExperience with Session Border Controllers.\nKnowledge of carrier connectivity, SIP trunking and number management.\nExperience supporting cloud telephony and contact centre platforms.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex voice and call quality issues.\nStrong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS, firewalls and routing.\nWhat you can expect from us...\nMeaningful work\nThis is an opportunity to take ownership of a business-critical voice environment and play a key role in shaping the future of telephony and contact centre services across the organisation.
