Whether onsite or officed based all colleagues have a key part to play in delivering this critical transport infrastructure project.\nCurrent Opportunity: Utility Data Coordinator\nLocation: \nBased at Fort Dunlop - this location sits on the eastern edge of Birmingham, adjacent to the M6 motorway, providing excellent transport links into the city and across the region. Fort Dunlop serves as a key hub within IPT Area North, supporting operations that span multiple sublots and regional activities. Its strategic position makes it an important point for coordination and access, with proximity to major infrastructure routes ensuring connectivity to both the Central Region and wider project areas.\n\nRole description:\nUpdate GIS systems (I-Spatial) with accurate as-built utility information following construction activities.\nDigitise and attribute installed assets using survey data, red-line mark-ups and construction records.\nEnsure all recorded assets accurately reflect location, depth, material, size and connectivity.\nMaintain structured geospatial datasets in accordance with approved data schemas and naming conventions.\nMaintain live tracking information and performance reporting against agreed KPIs.\nCompare design models, drawings and specifications against as-built surveys and red-line drawings.\nIdentify and record deviations, clashes, omissions or inaccuracies between design and construction records.\nVerify that approved design changes are correctly represented within final as-built records.\nImport, process and validate topographical, PAS 128, GPS and total station survey data.\nVerify survey accuracy against project tolerances and quality requirements.\nEnsure survey metadata is correctly recorded.\nReject or return incomplete or non-compliant survey submissions.\nMaintain GIS layers for utilities, chambers, ducts, cables, pipes and associated assets.\nSupport integration between GIS, BIM, CAD and asset management systems.\nUndertake routine audits to maintain data quality and consistency.\nEnsure compliance with PAS 128, Uniclass 2015 and project requirements.\nSupport audits, assurance reviews and handover activities.\nLiaise with site teams, surveyors, designers, digital engineering teams, utility providers and asset owners.\nProvide guidance on as-built data capture requirements.\nSupport reporting, handover packs and auditable records.\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement.\nEssential Experience:\nDegree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Utilities, Construction or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.\nExperience using GIS software including I-Spatial and G-Viewer.\nUnderstanding utility construction, asset records and surveying processes.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, utility records and CAD information.\nStrong attention to detail and data accuracy.\nExperience using Microsoft Office and project information management systems.\nApplicants must have the right to work in the UK to be considered.\nWhy Join Us:\nFlexible working options\nFree parking & travel allowance (where eligible)\nFamily-friendly policies\nExcellent pension & healthcare\nWellbeing support & flu vaccinations\nAbout Us\nBalfour Beatty VINCI is a joint venture with over 30 years of experience delivering iconic infrastructure, including the Channel Tunnel, Crossrail, and upgrading some of the UK’s busiest motorways.
