We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team and support the day-to-day accounting needs of our multi-location, multi-entity organization.\nThis is a hands-on role that will work closely with the Controller and CFO and will take primary ownership of several recurring accounting processes, including payroll processing, account reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, commission calculations, general ledger activity, and month-end close support.\nThe right person will be organized, dependable, analytical, and comfortable independently managing recurring accounting responsibilities while identifying issues that require additional review.\nThis is a full-time, on-site position with a salary range of $60,000-$80,000 annually, based on relevant experience and qualifications.\nBenefits & Perks\nHealth, Medical, Dental & Supplemental Insurance \nPTO & Holiday Pay \n401(k) with Competitive Company Match \nStable Full-Time Schedule \nGrowth Opportunities Within a Growing Organization \nSupportive Team Environment \nPosition Summary\nThe Senior Accountant will perform key general accounting functions across multiple companies and locations.\nThis role will be responsible for payroll processing, accounts receivable, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, commission calculations, fixed asset schedules, and assigned month-end close activities.\nThe Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller, who will review and oversee these processes as part of the broader accounting function.\nThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys working through detailed accounting processes, solving reconciliation issues, understanding how transactions flow through the financial statements, and taking ownership of recurring accounting responsibilities.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nPerform day-to-day general accounting activities across multiple entities and locations \nProcess company payroll, including preparation, balancing, and coordination of payroll-related corrections \nPrepare payroll-related journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules \nPrepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations and research outstanding or unusual reconciling items \nPrepare balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting schedules \nManage accounts receivable accounting activities, including invoice creation, customer deposits, unapplied cash, credit balances, retainage, and related reconciliations \nPrepare recurring and month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll entries, intercompany entries, and other general ledger adjustments \nPrepare company-wide commission and incentive calculations based on approved compensation plans and supporting operational data \nMaintain fixed asset schedules, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and supporting documentation \nAssist with audit requests by preparing schedules, reconciliations, samples, and supporting documentation \nHelp improve accounting processes, reconciliations, documentation, and consistency across entities \nPerform additional and backup support for other accounting functions as needed \nRequired Skills & Abilities\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger processes \nExperience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close schedules \nAbility to independently research and resolve accounting discrepancies \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy \nExcellent organizational and time-management skills \nAbility to manage multiple recurring deadlines across different companies \nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities \nAbility to work independently while collaborating with accounting leadership and operational teams \nStrong written and verbal communication skills \nProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel \nPreferred Experience\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred \nA minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience preferred \nPrior Senior Accountant experience preferred \nExperience processing payroll preferred \nExperience with accounts receivable preferred \nExperience with QuickBooks Online preferred \nExperience with multi-entity or multi-location accounting preferred \nExperience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end close \nExperience in construction, restoration, service, or another project-based industry is a plus \nWhy Join Rainbow Restoration?\nAt Rainbow Restoration, we believe in investing in our employees and creating long-term career opportunities.
