You’ll be part of a UX team where each designer is responsible for different areas of our product and integrated into individual scrum teams. They work closely with the Product Manager and Developers to create elegant solutions to problems our customers are facing. The product team also includes front-end developers who share our passion to deliver a great user experience throughout our platform.\nWhat You'll Do:\nShape ideas into testable bets\n\nPartner with stakeholders and executives to capture strategic ideas and turn them into clear hypotheses\n\nDefine the problem, the target customer, the business case, and the evidence that would change our minds\n\nPush back constructively when an idea lacks a clear problem or buyer\n\nLead discovery research\nPlan and run high-volume discovery with customers and prospects, including interviews, workshops, concept tests, and usability sessions\n\nWork with Stakeholders, Sales, and Customer Success to find the right participants quickly\n\nSynthesize findings into short, decision-ready insights\n\nBuild proof-of-concept prototypes\nCreate interactive prototypes, from clickable concepts to functional PoCs, using AI-assisted tools\n\nApply sound UX judgment to flows, information architecture, and interaction design\n\nWork with your developer counterpart to draw a clear line between prototype-grade and production-ready, and hand off cleanly\n\nUse PoCs to confirm understanding, not to deliver solutions\n\nValidate against the market\nTest willingness to adopt and pay, not just whether people like the idea\n\nDefine success signals before each validation cycle and track them\n\nPresent recommendations to leadership with the evidence behind them\n\nProtect the integrity of the process\nFrame every prototype clearly as exploratory so customers never hear a commitment\n\nWork with Sales and Legal on NDAs, disclosure, and expectation-setting\n\nKeep Sales informed of what you're learning and what is, and isn't, safe to say to customers\n\nLead the pod\nSet priorities, rhythm, and working agreements for a small cross-functional team\n\nShare frequent, brief readouts instead of big-bang reviews\n\nBuild reusable templates, scripts, and prototype patterns that make each cycle faster\n\nWhat this role does NOT do\nBuild or customize solutions for a specific customer\n\nHelp customers integrate, configure, or implement our software\n\nMake roadmap or delivery commitments based purely on a PoC\n\nShip production code (engineering reviews and rebuilds PoCs before anything goes to market)\n\nWhat Success Looks Like:\nSuccess is measured by the quality of the decision, not by whether an idea moves forward. A well-evidenced \"stop\" is a win.\n\nIdeas reach a go/no-go decision in weeks, not quarters\n\nIdeas the business funds are backed by clear problem definitions, working prototypes, and customer proof\n\nLeadership and Sales trust the evidence and understand why ideas advanced or stopped\n\nFewer fully built features fail to find demand\n\nWhat You Bring:\nCore skills\nStrong business thinking: markets, buyers, pricing, and ROI, not just usability\n\nDemonstrated rapid prototyping ability, including fluency with AI-assisted building tools\n\nHands-on discovery research experience and comfort talking directly with customers and prospects, including senior stakeholders\n\nUX and product design fundamentals, with a portfolio or examples of shipped work\n\nProduct management experience or equivalent: scoping, prioritization, and stakeholder management\n\nAlso valuable\nB2B SaaS experience, especially enterprise software\n\nComfort working in or alongside a live codebase\n\nExperience leading small teams without formal authority\n\nThe confidence to tell senior leaders \"the evidence doesn't support this\"\n\nHow this role is different\nFrom a traditional PM:
