We make it easy and safe for every team, from engineering and product to business operations, to use AI in their daily work and in the products they build.\nWe provide the shared foundation for that: governed access to AI models and tools, the controls that keep data secure and usage auditable, and the visibility teams need to run AI reliably and cost-effectively. We also shape how Raisin builds software with AI, from AI-assisted coding to agentic workflows that support teams across the development lifecycle. Because Raisin operates in regulated financial services, security and compliance are core to how we design the platform.\nThe team is growing, and you will shape both what it builds and how it works.\nYour Responsibilities\nAs Engineering Lead, you lead the engineers who build Raisin's internal AI platform and drive the company's AI-assisted engineering practices. You are accountable for the team's delivery, growth, and maintaining the AI platform users' trust. \nYou stay close to the technology, because in a field that changes this quickly, good leadership decisions depend on understanding the technical details.\nLead and grow the team\nHire, onboard, and develop engineers, and build a team that works autonomously across platform engineering, infrastructure, and AI.\nHold regular 1:1s, set clear expectations, and agree individual development plans with each engineer.\nGive timely feedback, recognise strong performance, and address low performance early.\nCreate an environment of trust, open communication, and continuous learning, so the team keeps up with a fast-moving field without burning out.\nOwn delivery and operations\nOwn end-to-end delivery, from planning and estimation through implementation and release, balancing new capabilities with reliability and maintenance.\nMake sure the platform runs well in production: on-call, incident handling, and service levels for the systems other teams rely on.\nSpot risks and blockers early and resolve them, or escalate in time with a clear proposal.\nTurn the AI strategy into quarterly goals and a roadmap the team commits to, together with your manager and stakeholders.\nRun the platform as a product\nWork with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and decide what the platform should offer next.\nMeasure adoption, reliability, cost, and impact, and use that data in planning and when reporting to leadership.\nManage the cost of AI usage and tooling, including budgets, licences, vendor relationships, and build-versus-buy decisions.\nShape the technical direction\nWork with the team's tech leads on architecture and key technical decisions, and stay hands-on in design discussions, reviews, and selected implementation work.\nWork with security, legal, and compliance colleagues to keep the platform and the company's use of AI secure and compliant.\nHelp engineering teams across Raisin adopt AI in their work through documentation, workshops, and direct support.\nYour Profile\nWhat you bring\n3+ years leading engineers as an Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, or Team Lead, including hiring and performance management.\n7+ years in software engineering overall, with a background in backend, platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling.\nExperience leading a team that builds for internal customers, such as a platform, developer tooling, or shared services used by other engineers.\nA track record of delivering production systems that other teams depend on, including ownership of their reliability.\nA practical understanding of modern AI integration, such as LLM APIs, AI coding assistants, and agentic workflows, deep enough to evaluate technical decisions and challenge the team. You use AI tools in your own work.\nClear communication with engineers, product, and business stakeholders, and fluency in English.\nNice to have\nExperience with AI platform topics such as model access, governance, observability, rate limiting, or cost management.\nYou have driven adoption of new tools or practices across an engineering organisation.\nExperience leading distributed or hybrid teams.\nExperience in a regulated industry such as banking or fintech.\nYou don't need to tick every box.
