Department Overview
We are building the infrastructure for Rakuten Life Insurance's services.
This is a crucial position that supports the foundation of Rakuten Life Insurance, usingnew technologiesto prepare the necessary environment for applications to run, creating an environment where business divisions can work more easily, and improving Rakuten Life Insurance's services.
We will support the Infrastructure of Rakuten Life Insurance.
Prepare the environment for the application.

You can do all the work from upstream to downstream in a position close to the user.

You willmainly beresponsible for the following two areas of work:
Database Engineer
You will primarilybe responsible forthe design, build, and maintenance of databases in both development and production environments for the life insurance business.
Project Management
You will lead planning and execution as a project leader (PL) for various database replacement and refresh initiatives.
Incident Response
You will respond to incidents occurring in the system infrastructure and drive problem resolution.
Vendor Management
You will work closely with external vendors to deliver andmaintainsystem infrastructure in collaboration with outsourced partners.

The System Infrastructure Department consists of three groups: the Infrastructure Construction Group, the Operations Group, and the Network Management Group. You are slated to be assigned to the Infrastructure Construction Group.

Mandatory Qualifications:
-At least 5 years of experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle databases
-At least 5 years of experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of MySQL databases
-At least 2 years of experience as an in-house system engineer (internal IT)

- Experience as a project leader for entire system projects.
- Work experience in the financial industry.
- Self-Starter: Someone who is proactive, takes ownership, and has a forward-thinking attitude rather than being passive.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to influence and collaborate with others, including coordination with other departments, to drive tasks forward through effective communication.
- Hands-On Approach: Not only capable of management but also able to perform tasks such as system construction and troubleshooting independently.
