This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Test, and Program Management throughout the product lifecycle. Successful Design Engineers are naturally curious, take ownership of their work, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and thrive in a collaborative, hands-on engineering environment.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nSustain, develop, and improve ordnance product mechanical designs from concept through their production lifecycle.\nPerform engineering analysis and create engineering documentation.\nSupport prototype, qualification, production, and sustainment engineering activities.\nProvide day-to-day engineering support to Manufacturing and Quality.\nLead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nMaintain product design configuration management records, including engineering drawings and bills of material.\nCollaborate with Integrated Product Teams across engineering disciplines.\nSupport proposal efforts and technical evaluations as required.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred; Aerospace Engineering or other engineering disciplines may also be considered.\nTypically 3+ years of relevant mechanical and/or ordnance design experience. Outstanding candidates with strong technical aptitude and less experience will also be considered.\nExperience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T.\nExperience using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred; equivalent CAD platforms acceptable).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAerospace or Defense industry experience.\nManufacturing support experience.\nDOE, DFMA, FMEA, failure analysis, or engineering simulation experience.\nANSYS or SolidWorks CAE simulation.\nConfiguration management systems (Oracle Agile PLM preferred).\nMachine shop or fabrication experience.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nEngineers on this team wear many hats and become technical experts on PacSci EMC products.
