Working directly alongside operators and technicians in a high-mix, low-volume environment, this role will restore production flow, eliminate recurring defects, and drive consistent, repeatable assembly-cell performance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssembly Cell Troubleshooting:Provide daily, hands-on support to resolve production interruptions, assembly defects, and test failures.\nInvestigate issues across PCBAs, sensors, wiring, electromechanical assemblies, fixtures, and test equipment.\nWork alongside operators and technicians to reproduce failures and resolve issues at the point of assembly.\n\nRoot-Cause Analysis and Corrective Action:Lead structured root-cause analysis of defects, recurring failures, and process variation.\nImplement corrective actions and verify that they prevent recurrence.\nSupport production testing and validation of electronic components and assemblies.\n\n Process Improvement:Identify and eliminate sources of rework, waste, downtime, and disrupted flow.\nUse production, test, and quality data to prioritize improvements and verify results (first-pass yield, rework, downtime).\nSupport new product introduction, product transfers, and engineering changes into production.\n\nStandard Work and Training:Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.\nCoach operators and technicians to strengthen the site’s troubleshooting capability.\nPartner closely with production, quality, design engineering, and supply chain teams.\n\nQualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.\nExperience:Hands-on experience supporting assembly cells or a live manufacturing environment.\nWorking experience with electronic components, electromechanical assemblies, sensors, or controls.\nProven use of structured root-cause analysis to resolve production issues and sustain improvements.\n\nTechnical Skills:Basic PCBA skills: component identification, visual defect recognition, multimeter checks, and ESD handling.\nAbility to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, and test procedures.\nPractical electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.\n\nSoft Skills:Practical, roll-up-your-sleeves approach in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume environment.\nStrong communication and documentation skills.\nCollaborative across production, quality, and engineering teams.\n\nPreferred:2-5 years in manufacturing, production, test, or electrical engineering.\nPCBA board-level troubleshooting experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, standard work, ERP/MES systems, and instrumentation or sensing products.\n\nWhy Anderson-Negele?\nJoin a hands-on team where engineering happens on the production floor.
