This role works closely with Product Line Design Engineering, NPI Program Teams, and Commodity Management to support supplier selection, sourcing strategy, quoting, qualification, and material readiness throughout the product development lifecycle.\nThe Commodity Lead is accountable for managing cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity for assigned commodities from product development through transition to global production. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong supply chain foundation that supports the product throughout its lifecycle.\nThe primary commodity responsibility for this position will be Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), although additional commodity assignments may be required.\nSuccess in this role requires strong attention to detail, persistence, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage and interpret complex data sets using spreadsheets and other sourcing tools.\nKey Responsibilities\nCommodity Sourcing & Supplier Selection\nOwn sourcing execution for assigned commodities, in alignment with approved/preferred supply base strategy, dual-sourcing objectives, and the company’s diverse supplier initiatives.\nIdentify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, lead time, capacity, and technical capability.\nCost & Commercial Management\nLead cost negotiations and ensure alignment with budget targets, program requirements, and Ralliant-preferred payment terms.\nSupport cost analysis and trade-off discussions in coordination with the Procurement Lead and Engineering.\nPurchase Order & Transactional Execution\nIssue purchase orders for materials and services in support of NPI development builds and qualification activities.\nManage purchase order changes, ensuring confirmations are obtained for original and revised orders.\nResolve invoice discrepancies and issues identified through Hold and OIC reporting.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with the NPI Procurement Lead and NPI Core Team members (Program Management, Engineering, Quality, NPD, NPS) to ensure delivery commitments, specifications, and quality requirements are met.\nActively participate in Commodity Team meetings and support the strategic direction established by the Commodity Manager.\nSupply Chain & Supplier Management\nBuild and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers to support NPI execution and launch readiness.\nMonitor supplier performance and material availability, escalating risks or issues as appropriate.\nIssue Resolution & Escalation\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve procurement issues including supplier delays, shortages, or unexpected cost impacts.\nEscalate critical concerns in a timely manner to the Procurement Lead and/or Commodity Manager.\nReporting & Communication\nProvide formal weekly status reports to the NPI Procurement Manager in alignment with department SOPs.\nProactively communicate emerging risks, constraints, or critical issues to Procurement and Commodity leadership.\nCompliance & Continuous Improvement\nEnsure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.\nApply Ralliant Business System (RBS) tools in daily work, actively participate in Kaizen events and Daily Management.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.\n3-5 years of supply chain or procurement experience supporting new product development;
