Your primary duties will involve obtaining purchase order confirmations, expediting late or at-risk material, and maintaining accurate promise dates in Oracle. You will serve as the primary execution-level contact between suppliers, buyers, inventory control, and the production floor.\nThis role is focused on supplier execution, order follow-up, and system accuracy to ensure material availability aligns with production demand. By owning supplier open order management and expediting activities, the Material Expeditor plays a key role in reducing shortages and protecting production schedules.\nResponsibilities\nManage supplier open purchase orders for direct materials supporting production demand\nObtain and maintain purchase order acknowledgements and confirmations from suppliers\nExpedite late or at-risk materials and coordinate recovery actions\nMaintain accurate promise dates, quantities, and notes within Oracle\nMonitor shortage and exception reports impacting production\nCommunicate material risks and recovery plans to production, inventory control, and buyers\nEscalate chronic supplier or delivery issues to leadership\nSupport resolution of shipping and delivery issues\nEnsure compliance with company policies and ethical standards\nRequirements\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office\nExperience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)\nEducation and Experience\nRequired: High School Diploma or equivalent\nPreferred: Prior experience in material coordination, expediting, or purchasing support is preferred.\nWorking Conditions\nOffice and factory environment. Safety glasses required on the factory floor. Some overtime may be required.
