This role is responsible for verifying product conformity, documenting inspection results, supporting Material Review Board activities, maintaining calibration compliance, and partnering with production and warehouse teams to resolve supplier, quality and process issues.\nJob Responsibilities\nPerform and document First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality requirements.\nPrepare clear inspection reports, performance records, and supporting documentation; communicate FAI results to applicable stakeholders.\nRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, specifications, and workmanship standards to determine product requirements.\nPerform receiving, in-process, and final inspections as needed to verify product conformity.\nMeasure product dimensions, evaluate functionality, and compare results against specifications and acceptance criteria.\nUse proper inspection techniques and measuring equipment, including CMM, micrometers, gauges, calipers, and other inspection tools.\nMake product acceptance decisions based on specifications, procedures, and company workmanship criteria.\nIdentify, escalate, and support resolution of quality concerns in a timely manner to protect product quality and customer requirements.\nMaintain organized inspection records and complete system transactions related to inspection and Material Review Board (MRB) processes.\nSend daily MRB correspondence to impacted teams and support follow-up actions as required, including returning materials to suppliers.\nSupport calibration activities by scheduling external calibration of laboratory equipment while minimizing disruption to production.\nMaintain calibration standards in accordance with internal procedures, external requirements, traceability expectations, master accuracy, and applicable environmental controls.\nInvestigate, analyze, and prioritize quality and process issues; implement and verify effective countermeasures.\nSupport Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) tasks and related quality documentation.\nCreate, maintain, and periodically review standard work instructions for manufacturing cells.\nPartner with warehouse, production, operations, and quality personnel to identify and resolve supplier or production-related challenges.\nQualifications\n5 GCSEs including English and Maths (C or above) or equivalent is required. Technical qualification in engineering, manufacturing, quality, calibration, or a related discipline is preferred eg.
