Qualitrol associates enjoy the autonomy, breadth of responsibility and creativity that are part of a smaller, entrepreneurial environment while leveraging resources, best practices and career opportunities from a fortune 500 company, Fortive.\nYour Impact\nThis position involves ownership of planning and overseeing quality and production improvements, using verification and production ramp-up of tooling and equipment involved in assembling of the instruments, controls and monitors used in the Electric Utility Transmission and Distribution Industry.\nHere’s where you’ll demonstrate your competencies:\nOwnership and development of area process improvement and project portfolio.\n\nInvestigate, analyze, develop, and determine processes and process improvements for new and existing products.\n\nPlan equipment layout and workflow to maintain safe and efficient utilization of plant resources.\n\nCoordinate Kaizen and other continuous improvement activities with special emphasis on RBS (Ralliant Business System) principles that include standard work, one-piece flow, visual controls,5S, and variability reduction.\n\nLead in the development of new methods, tooling, test systems, and machine designs that reduce cycle time and improve productivity and quality.\n\nLead in the planning, research, design and development of manufacturing engineering projects.\n\nOwnership of troubleshooting internal and external quality issues by performing root cause analysis (RCA, 5 Why, 8D) and driving corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)\n\nMentor and coach peers and early career engineers\n\nPerform duties in accordance with established quality standards.\n\nPerform such similar, comparable or related duties as may be required.\n\nActively support Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.\n\nSkills & Experience\nThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:\nBS Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.\n\nMinimum 7+ years in a lean manufacturing environment.\n\nDemonstrated analytical/statistical problem-solving skills. Familiarity with statistical methods and software (Minitab, JMP, etc.).\n\nProficient in database tools and ability to use programing language for modifying/maintaining databases and reporting purposes.\n\nProven experience in process improvement, problem solving, and knowledge of process control methodologies such as DMAIC, 6, Lean, and SPC.
