Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies, and people around the world.\nYou will join our Water & Wastewater Engineering Department as our new Engineer, you will be part of a team dedicated to working with industrial clients to deliver a wide range of water-related projects, which will include industrial wastewater planning and design, permitting and design for industrial storm water management, and may include water resources planning.\n Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:\nPreparing preliminary and detailed engineering design of industrial wastewater treatment systems\nConducting treatability laboratory experiments, pilot scale testing, industrial field work\nParticipating in treatment plant operations and troubleshooting\nFocusing on discharge impacts on receiving water studies\nSupporting wastewater and stormwater permitting efforts\nAssisting senior staff with preparing proposals and reports\nMonitoring the construction phase of projects\nSupporting stormwater management programs\nConducting sampling events (stormwater, wastewater) in various site settings\nPerforming engineering calculations\nDeveloping hydrologic and hydraulic models\nAssisting senior staff with preparing proposals and technical reports, including compiling analytical data\nConducting travel/field work (daytime and overnight, usually in U.S.)\n Required Skills\nExcellent written and oral communication\nGood time management\nDetail oriented\nActive listener\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities\nAbility and willingness to work as a responsible, independent team player in a consulting environment, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously\nProficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nExperience using AutoCAD is desired, but not required\nAbility to work well in a team environment with a willingness to follow detailed instructions and learn new skills\nAbility to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) needed for access to some industrial facilities.\nRequired Education\nSuccessful candidates will have an ABET accredited engineering degree in civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical fields. Advanced degrees a plus.\nEIT certification preferred\nOn track to take PE licensure exam or existing PE licensure a plus.\nRequired Experience\nCandidates must be willing to travel possess a valid driver’s license. Travel may include overnight stay and may be out of state or international.\nValid driver’s license required\nThe physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold); high noise levels, to hazards such as a proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current and exposure to chemicals. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $58,416 to $73,020 yearly. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations.
