Combining local experience with global knowledge, we together shape the societies of tomorrow.\n You will join our Solutions for Industry department\nAs our new Controls & Automation Project Engineer you will be part of our Process Control & Data Solutions\n(PCDS) team that supports all aspects of control system lifecycles across the diverse industries and systems of our varied clients.\nYour key tasks and responsibilities will be:\nControl Systems design: Lead hands-on, detailed design efforts on assigned projects from initial information\ngathering through final implementation. Collaborate with other disciplines and participate in design reviews.\nVerify system performance requirements are met.\nPLC and HMI programming: Write original, well-structured code and make changes to existing code. Use\nsound design practices to generate full system visualization, reporting, and alarming.\nArchitecture configuration: Configure industrial Ethernet networks. Configure physical and virtual computer\nhardware/software. Create interconnections to client networks.\nCommissioning and site work: Lead the start-up, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing of equipment both\nlocally and at customer sites. Field-tune systems and control algorithms. Troubleshoot non-functioning control\nsystems.\nDocumentation: Contribute to and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Generate process\ncontrol narratives and contribute to equipment Operation & Maintenance manuals.\nProject management: Working with Project Managers to regularly update the Controls/SCADA portion of\nproject plans. Work proactively with Project Managers to address issues related to project schedule, budget,\nor scope and develop appropriate solutions.\nOrganizational improvement: Act as a leader to support, promote, and improve department standards for\ndesign and programming. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. For this role, we believe your starting point is:\nB.S. or greater in relevant engineering discipline.\n5+ years of experience in control system integration and SCADA programming. Years of experience may offset educational requirements.\n Knowledge and programming experience on the Rockwell Automation Logix 5000 platform; experience with multiple PLC platforms (Rockwell Automation Logix 500, GE, Siemens, etc.) is a plus.\n Experience programming HMI/SCADA; Inductive Automation’s Ignition is a must, experience with multiple platforms (Rockwell Automation, Wonderware, GE, etc.) is a plus.\n Experience configuring industrial networking systems and related hardware (primarily Ethernet-based).\nExperience configuring computers, workstations, or servers in control systems.\nDemonstrated experience in either Process Control or Machine Control; both areas is a plus.\nKnowledge of control system design, including electrical principles and hardware design.\nAdditionally, experience with any of the following skills is a plus: virtual machines, MES, Linux, Hyper-V, ESXi, SQL, Python, C#, Java, cybersecurity or AutoCAD Electrical.\nPersonal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: an adaptable disposition and a general excitement towards learning new technologies in diverse industries.\n Ready to join us?\nPlease submit your application. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,000 to $102,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
