Full-time role in Thika.\n\nRole Purpose\n\nThe Security & Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s physical security, safety, and emergency preparedness programs to safeguard personnel, assets, information, products, and facilities. The role manages electronic security systems, access control, CCTV surveillance, perimeter protection, fire detection and suppression systems, emergency response preparedness, and business continuity initiatives. The incumbent ensures compliance with ISO Standards, occupational health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer security obligations within a high-security printing environment while leading security audits, fire drills, risk assessments, and incident management activities. \n\nResponsibilities\n\nSecurity Operations Management. \n\nDevelop and implement security policies, procedures and operational controls. \n\nManage access control, visitor management, and guard force operations. \n\nOversee CCTV monitoring and investigation activities. \n\nProtect organizational assets against theft, fraud, sabotage, and unauthorized access. \n\nSecurity operations cost optimization\n\nElectronic Security Systems Management. \n\nManage CCTV, access control, biometric systems, intrusion detection systems, and perimeter security infrastructure.\n\nEnsure timely maintenance and functionality of all security systems. \n\nOversee security technology upgrades and enhancements.\n\nFire Safety & Fire Systems Management\n\nManage fire detection, alarm, suppression, and firefighting systems. \n\nEnsure routine testing and inspection of fire safety equipment. \n\nCoordinate fire prevention initiatives and awareness programs.\n\nEmergency Preparedness & Drill Management \n\nDevelop and maintain emergency response procedures. \n\nCoordinate evacuation exercises and emergency drills. \n\nAssess drill effectiveness and implement improvement plans. \n\nSecurity & Safety Compliance Management \n\nEnsure compliance with ISO 14298, statutory requirements, and customer security standards. \n\nLead internal compliance reviews and inspections. \n\nSupport regulatory and certification audits.\n\nRisk Management & Incident Investigation. \n\nConduct security and safety risk assessments. \n\nLead investigations of security incidents and safety occurrences. \n\nImplement corrective and preventive actions. \n\nOccupational Health & Safety Management. \n\nAssist in Promoting safe work practices through surveillance and reporting of the unsafe practices. \n\nMonitor workplace hazards and Participate in implementation of mitigation measures. \n\nSupport workplace safety initiatives and awareness programs.\n\nTeam Leadership & Continuous Improvement. \n\nLead and develop security personnel. \n\nDrive security and safety (Intergraf) Security Management Training. \n\nFire Safety Management Certification. \n\nOccupational Health & Safety Certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent). \n\nIncident Investigation Training. \n\nEmergency Response and Crisis Management Training. \n\nSecurity Risk Management Certification will be an added advantage. \n\nExperience\n\nMinimum 7-10 years’ experience in security and safety management. \n\nAt least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. \n\nProven experience within a security printing, manufacturing, banking, government, or highsecurity environment. \n\nExperience managing electronic security systems, fire systems, and emergency response programs. \n\nDemonstrated experience leading ISO audits and compliance programs. \n\nExperience in security investigations
