Joondalup Health Campus is a health care facility in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The 722-bed hospital has featured combined public and private services since 1996. In March 2013, the new Joondalup Private Hospital opened next to the existing hospital, within the same campus. The Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care.

Exciting 60-hour per fortnight Max Term opportunities exists for an experienced Chef to join our Catering Services team at Joondalup Health Campus.
About the Role:
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Chef to join our Catering Services team on a maximum term basis.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare nutritious and appetising meals for patients.
- Uphold food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support daily kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance.
- Work collaboratively in a busy team environment, reporting to the Head Chef.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in commercial kitchens, with strong capability in high-volume bulk cooking as well as preparing short-order meals efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and cooking of meals (including cold larder and special diets).
- Understanding and meeting patient dietary requirements.
- Ensuring food safety compliance (HACCP) and accurate record keeping.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.
- Assisting with stock management and ordering.
About You:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and OH&S standards.
- Proven experience in food preparation for individuals and bulk cooking (hospital experience highly regarded).
- Ability to manage high-volume workflows with strong organisation skills.
- Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available).
