The Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care.\nRamsay provides high-quality healthcare to millions of people each year through a network of hospitals, clinics and services in Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom.\n Exciting 60-hour per fortnight Max Term opportunities exists for an experienced Chef to join our Catering Services team at Joondalup Health Campus.\nAbout the Role:\nWe are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Chef to join our Catering Services team on a maximum term basis.\nIn this role, you will:\nPrepare nutritious and appetising meals for patients.\nUphold food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.\nSupport daily kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance.\nWork collaboratively in a busy team environment, reporting to the Head Chef.\nPossess a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in commercial kitchens, with strong capability in high-volume bulk cooking as well as preparing short-order meals efficiently.\nKey Responsibilities\nPreparation and cooking of meals (including cold larder and special diets).\nUnderstanding and meeting patient dietary requirements.\nEnsuring food safety compliance (HACCP) and accurate record keeping.\nMaintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.\nAssisting with stock management and ordering. \nAbout You:\nCertificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential).\nStrong understanding of food hygiene and OH&S standards.\nProven experience in food preparation for individuals and bulk cooking (hospital experience highly regarded).\nAbility to manage high-volume workflows with strong organisation skills.\nExcellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.\nFlexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.\nUnrestricted working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available).\nYou will be part of a large, friendly, and supportive catering team where quality, teamwork, and service excellence are highly valued.
