Working closely with hospitals, revenue cycle teams and external payors, you will help ensure coding outcomes accurately reflect patient care, support funding integrity and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.\nIf you're passionate about coding excellence, enjoy analysing complex audit findings, and want to influence best practice across Australia's largest private hospital network, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a trusted subject matter expert, you will provide clinical coding audit and education support across the organisation, helping to strengthen coding accuracy, compliance and documentation quality.\nKey responsibilities include:\nManage and respond to external clinical coding and DRG audits within required timeframes. \nUndertake clinical coding audits and support the internal coding audit programs to ensure compliance with Australian Coding Standards and industry best practice. \nManage and respond to external clinical coding and DRG audits / queries within required timeframes. \nProvide coding audit feedback to Coders, Clinical Documentation Specialists, Clinical Documentation Auditors and HIS Management \nImplement feedback loops with BAU functions and provide advice and insights to improve coding quality and accuracy. \nAnalyse audit outcomes to identify opportunities for coding, documentation and revenue improvement. \nBuild strong working relationships with hospitals, coding teams and external payor auditors. \nPrepare and present audit findings, recommendations and performance insights to key stakeholders. \nDeliver education and coaching initiatives that enhance coding accuracy and clinical documentation quality. \nAnalyse audit trends and prepare reports that support compliance monitoring and performance improvement. \nMaintain expert knowledge of Australian Coding Standards (ACS), ICD-10-AM, ACHI, DRG classifications and relevant billing requirements. \nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen coding integrity and revenue outcomes across Ramsay. \nWhat You'll Bring\nYou are an experienced and detail-oriented clinical coding professional who combines strong technical capability with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.\nTo succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:\nExtensive knowledge of ICD-10-AM, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards. \nExperience in clinical coding, coding quality assurance, auditing or health information management. \nSound understanding of DRG classification methodologies and hospital funding or billing processes. \nExperience reviewing and interpreting audit findings, identifying trends and driving improvement opportunities. \nHighly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills. \nThe ability to influence and collaborate effectively across clinical, operational, coding and payor environments. \nExceptional attention to detail and commitment to coding accuracy, compliance and integrity. \nA proactive approach to continuous improvement and education. \nQualifications in Health Information Management, Medical Record Administration, Clinical Coding or a related discipline (Certificate IV or higher). \nClinical coding audit experience or external audit qualifications will be highly regarded. \nExperience within a private hospital environment will be advantageous. \nWhy Join Ramsay?\nAt Ramsay, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset.
