This posting is for an existing vacancy.\nWhere will you work?\nRamSoft is headquartered in Canada, with additional offices in India and the United States.\nThis role is based in our downtown Toronto office, and will work as part of our global IT team to support local and remote activities.\nAccessibility note: We are currently located in an historic building, which has 4 steps at the door. Once inside, there is elevator access, and our office is all on one level.\nWhat will you do?\nWork in our Toronto office, handling all day-to-day tasks and operational activities in regard to troubleshooting and maintaining office servers, networks, and employee-specific equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, telephones, headsets, etc. \nConfigure, stage and ship server and workstation related hardware \nSet up new hires with appropriate equipment, assisting with workstation arrangements, installing applicable software/hardware/wiring, ordering equipment, and assisting with IT Orientation Tasks \nTrain staff in IT-related Equipment and Applications \nParticipate in system design and planning sessions for the development and maintenance of corporate and customer IT systems \nMaintaining accurate documentation and diagrams of IT systems \nMonitor and report on system performance and key systems metrics \nProvide technical support and troubleshoot user problems \nAnalyze system performance and recommend improvements \nDesign and maintain infrastructure systems and business application servers \nPerform hardware and software installations, and operating system patching \nSuggest improvements to internal support procedures \nParticipate in planning and make recommendations for distributed and enterprise hardware systems management software and architecture \nProvide general systems administration tasks including system configuration management, OS installations, security updates, and urgent system patching \nSupport, administer, and optimize AI-powered solutions, automation platforms, Microsoft Copilot, and Azure AI services to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and end-user productivity. \nSupport and maintain healthcare imaging environments, including PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7 integrations, imaging workstations, and related infrastructure to ensure reliable clinical operations and system performance. \nResponsible for administration of infrastructure maintenance and upgrades for Internal Resources (Software and Hardware) \nImplementation, Support, Administration, and Management of Windows 10/11, Server /2019/2022/2025 Operating Systems and CentOS and Ubuntu \nManage user issues on timely basis, updating tickets for accurate record keeping \nAssist with preparation of hardware for Customer-facing Demos \nMonitor performance of remote systems and perform performance tuning as necessary \nPerform other related duties as required \nWhat will you bring to RamSoft?\n5+ years of experience in systems administration, network administration, desktop support, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role.\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure, and other Microsoft cloud and SaaS technologies.\nExperience supporting and administering Windows and macOS endpoints, including hardware, operating systems, applications, device configuration, and troubleshooting.\nStrong knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, network adapters, peripherals, and diagnostic equipment.\nStrong knowledge of networking technologies and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, VPNs, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.\nExperience with firewall, routing, and network security technologies, including Azure networking and platforms such as Cisco, Netgate/pfSense, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and SonicWall.\nExperience with endpoint management, device provisioning, software deployment, patching, imaging, monitoring, and remote-support technologies.\nExperience with endpoint security technologies, including antivirus, endpoint protection, EDR, and security policy management.\nExperience with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, automation platforms, and Microsoft Copilot technologies to improve IT operations, service delivery, troubleshooting, and end-user productivity.\nWorking knowledge of scripting and automation, such as PowerShell or comparable scripting technologies.\nAzure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) are preferred. Candidates actively working toward these certifications will also be considered.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, network, cloud, and end-user issues.\nAbility to interpret and apply technical documentation, knowledge articles, vendor documentation, manuals, and troubleshooting procedures.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical users.\nStrong customer-service skills, including patience, professionalism, and the ability to provide technical assistance, guidance, and user training.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with IT team members, other departments, and external vendors.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple incidents, requests, and technical initiatives simultaneously.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to develop practical solutions in a fast-paced IT environment.\nAbility to document technical issues, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and resolutions clearly and accurately.\nAbility to occasionally lift equipment weighing up to approximately 20 kg (44 lbs.) for activities such as receiving shipments, deploying computers, and setting up IT equipment.\nAI Notice\nAI may be used to support certain administrative aspects of our recruitment process.
