The successful candidate will ensure compliance with New Jersey boiler regulations, company safety standards, and operating procedures while supporting reliable plant operations. \n\nWhat’s in it for youTaking care of our people is in our nature - so you’ll enjoy:\nHourly wage of $36.05/hr (after 1000 hours $38.47/hr)\nFull-time position with guaranteed hours for job stability\nSchedule: 12-hour shift (5pm-5am) with every other weekend off\nA full range of benefits: group insurance, telemedicine, and an employer-contributed retirement plan\nProfit sharing and employee share purchase plan - so you can share in our success\nEmployee assistance program, because your physical and mental well-being matters\nReferral bonus - help grow the team and get rewarded\n\nWhat you’ll doAs a Boiler Operator, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape. \nYour day-to-day:\n\nMonitor and operate boiler plant equipment safely and efficiently.\nPerform daily inspections, water testing, blowdowns, and equipment checks.\nRespond to alarms and emergency conditions following established procedures.\nMaintain accurate operating logs and shift turnover communications.\nSupport preventive maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEnsure compliance with all company safety and environmental requirements.\n\nYour strengths as a Boiler OperatorYou are a natural fit for this role if:\nValid New Jersey Black Seal High Pressure Boiler Operator License.\nMinimum 2 years of industrial boiler operation experience preferred.\nKnowledge of steam generation, feedwater systems, water treatment, fuel systems, and steam distribution.\nAbility to perform boiler startups, shutdowns, inspections, and emergency response procedures.\nUnderstanding of LOTO, OSHA safety requirements, and PPE standards.\nExperience maintaining operating logs, completing inspections, and documenting work activities.\nAbility to identify and troubleshoot boiler, pump, burner, and steam system issues.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.\nBasic computer skills and experience with maintenance management systems (SAP preferred).\nBlue Seal or Third Grade Steam Engineer License (preferred)\nExperience in manufacturing or paper industry operations (preferred)\nKnowledge of electrical controls, PLCs, VFDs, and combustion systems (preferred)\n\nIf you bring the same care to who you are as to what you do, we’d love to meet you!\n\nApply now and join our team a Boiler Operator in Piscataway.\n\nCascades values diversity and inclusion and considers all applications equitably.
