# Sr. SIS Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Safety Instrumented System Engineer for a client of ours in the Vancouver area. This position will oversee the SIS program and and will be responsible for governance and oversight of the functional safety lifecycle, ensuring compliance with IEC 61511 and functional safety requirements, and providing technical leadership and subject matter expertise throughout the lifecycle of SIS and BMS applications. This position supports process safety, regulatory compliance, capital project execution, commissioning, startup, and lifecycle management activities across plant operations. The successful candidate will develop and maintain Safety Requirements Specifications, support process hazard analyses and risk assessment activities, and provide technical oversight for SIS- and BMS-related projects and process safety initiatives. Responsibilities include supporting new projects, sustaining existing systems, and providing technical expertise to ensure SIS and BMS applications are designed, implemented, maintained, and operated in accordance with functional safety requirements throughout their lifecycle.
