The role is based in Edmonds and operates under a hybrid work arrangement.\n\nSite visits: 1 -2 times per month across BC as needed.\n\nThis is an opportunity to work and grow with a renowned company at a competitive rate.\n\nResponsibilities\nExperience and Role Accountabilities\n• A minimum eight (8) years of experience in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.\n• Develop safe engineering solutions by using initiative and judgement to perform tasks including developing designs, analyzing and resolving problems, and interpreting engineering specifications on medium complexity and scope assignments for projects and operations.\n• Assist project or operations management to meet safety, cost, quality, and time objectives by proposing changes in plans and estimated costs, recommending payment for work completed by contractors, preparing progress reports, coordinating work schedules and other similar tasks.\n• Resolve highly technical and unusual design and field engineering problems by conducting independent studies and analysis, exercising independent judgment in selecting and interpreting information, recommending safe engineering designs to support successful operations and/or project completion.\n• Participate in engineering practice by conducting independent studies and analysis, contributing to the development of technical standards, exercising judgment in selecting and interpreting information, recommending safe engineering designs, and making decisions related to methods and designs as well as providing guidance and advice to other engineering professionals to develop future capability.\n\nQualifications\nMust Have\n\nMinimum 8 years of Civil Structural engineering experience.\nBroad civil and structural design experience across multiple design environments.\nExperience with structural design involving steel, concrete, and wood.\nStrong practical engineering judgement and ability to develop effective design solutions.\nAbility to support site visits and be locally based.\nExperience working across a wide variety of project types rather than a highly specialized discipline.\nStrong English skills for professional environment, written and spoken\n\nNice to Have\n\nPrevious experience supporting utility, infrastructure, or generation-related projects.\nExperience collaborating within multidisciplinary engineering teams.\n\nSummary\nInterested candidates can send their resumes to John at \n\nRandstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
