Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.\nWhat you will get:\nAn agile career and dynamic working culture.\n\nAn inclusive and ethical workplace.\n\nCompetitive hourly rate.\n\nWhat you will do:\nDrive the engineering and specification of critical instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, analytical) that directly enables high-quality medicine production.\n\nPartner with Automation, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Validation, and Quality teams to support seamless system integration.\n\nDesign, maintain, and update essential engineering data within COMOS, including instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, and indexes.\n\nSupport the integration of field devices into DCS, PLC, and SIS control platforms.\n\nSupervise site installation, conduct loop checks, and perform troubleshooting during commissioning and startup.\n\nExecute GxP qualification activities using digital validation tools (UBIK, Kneat) for IQ/OQ testing.\n\nEnsure strict adherence to change control, data integrity, and validation guidelines while championing technical problem-solving and root cause analysis.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\nProven background in instrumentation, electrical, or automation engineering within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environments.\n\nPractical expertise in process measurement technologies, field device selection, and calibration principles.\n\nDemonstrated experience managing engineering documentation and data within COMOS.\n\nHands-on experience with loop testing, functional testing, commissioning, and system startup.\n\nSolid familiarity with GxP/GMP compliance requirements and change control procedures.\n\nExperience with qualification software such as UBIK and Kneat is highly desirable.\n\nProficiency in English and/or German\n\nAbout Lonza\nAt Lonza, their people are their greatest strength.
