Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.\nWhat you will get:\nAn agile career and dynamic working culture.\n\nAn inclusive and ethical workplace.\n\nCompetitive hourly rate.\n\nCompensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.\nWhat you will do:\nDirectly support the digital transformation of critical pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing operations.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Automation, IT, Validation, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to implement and scale MES solutions.\n\nMaintain, govern, and continuously improve MES standards, templates, system architectures, and best practices across the site.\n\nProvide hands-on technical support for MES operations, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and incident resolution.\n\nEnsure full GxP and GMP compliance for electronic batch records (eBR) and manufacturing workflows.\n\nLead system integration activities between MES, automation platforms, historians, and ERP systems.\n\nDrive continuous improvement by analyzing manufacturing processes and identifying opportunities for standardization and optimization.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\nDegree in Automation Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.\n\nProven experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) such as PAS-X, Syncade, PharmaSuite, Opcenter, or similar platforms within a GMP-regulated life sciences environment.\n\nStrong knowledge of IT/OT manufacturing architectures, industrial networking, server environments, and virtualization (VMware).\n\nSolid understanding of system integration concepts (MES to ERP, historians, and automation platforms).\n\nHands-on familiarity with GAMP, GMP, computerized system validation (CSV), data integrity, and change control processes.\n\nHigh attention to system reliability, data integrity, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.\n\nProfessional fluency in English and/or German.\n\nAbout Lonza\nAt Lonza, their people are their greatest strength.
