Based at our Riverside, California facility, you'll design aftermarket suspension, steering, and off-road products from concept through production.\nOur in-house engineering and development team designs, prototypes, manufactures, and tests suspension components and systems across our automotive aftermarket brands. You'll work directly with engineers and technicians to develop products in SOLIDWORKS, build prototypes, and install and test them on vehicles.\nYou'll help develop new product lines, expand existing applications, and improve current products for performance, durability, and manufacturing cost. If you enjoy seeing your designs built, installed, and proven in the field, this role is for you.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nDesign & Analysis\nDevelop products from concept to production, including detailed 3D models and fully toleranced drawings in SOLIDWORKS (GD&T per ASME Y14.5).\nPerform stress analysis using SOLIDWORKS Simulation (FEA) to validate designs.\nDesign for manufacturability across machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and welding processes.\nImprove existing products through design analysis, testing, and engineering changes.\nPrototype, Test & Validate\nInstall and remove prototype suspension and steering components and perform vehicle fitment testing.\nBenchmark competitor and existing products through testing, measurement, and material analysis.\nInspect components using precision measurement equipment and coordinate inspection requirements with Quality.\nReview test data to verify designs meet functional and performance requirements.\nCollaboration & Documentation\nWork with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to develop products and resolve technical issues.\nConduct market research to identify new product opportunities.\nReview engineering drawings for accuracy, tolerances, and fitment.\nCreate and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and engineering documentation.\nDevelop installation and manufacture, and bring to market.\nRequirements\nRequired Education & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of mechanical design experience in product development, or 8+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.\nAdvanced proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, including 3D modeling and 2D drawings.\nWorking knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), ANSI drafting standards, and document control.\nStrong understanding of materials, heat treatment, metal fabrication, welding, and design for manufacturing.\nHands-on experience with automotive hand tools and precision measurement equipment.\nAbility to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAutomotive aftermarket, off-road, or motorsports product development experience.\nSuspension, steering, sheet-metal, or gear design experience.\nSOLIDWORKS Simulation (FEA) and SOLIDWORKS PDM experience.\nExperience with 3D scanning and reverse engineering.\nFamiliarity with mechanical testing, including hardness, tensile testing, and metallurgy.\nWorking Conditions\nFull-time, on-site position in Riverside, California.\nRegular work in a shop environment, including installing and removing vehicle components.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable
