This individual will be managing a team of financial planners while still staying hands on with planning and providing an incredible experience for our members.\nBut we’re looking for more than just a great advisor - you’ll be a key component of helping to reinvent the wealth management space through tech. From collecting financial information, to evaluations and projections, to custom plan delivery, this person will partner with our product team to share their expertise and provide feedback as we continue to build out our suite of proprietary tools.\nWe're excited to hire this role at Range's Headquarters in McLean, VA, or one of our hub locations in New York City and Bellevue. All of our positions follow an in-office schedule Monday through Friday, allowing you to collaborate directly with your team. If you're not currently based in one of these areas but love what you see, let’s discuss relocation as part of your journey to joining us.\nWhat you’ll do with us\nGain a deep understanding of our members’ unique needs and aspirations to confidently advise them on their financial goals\n\nBuild and implement iterative financial plans and wealth strategies\n\nMaintain an in-depth understanding of financial planning, investments, and tax planning\n\nBe an active part of a collaborative team and share best practices\n\nAssist our engineering and product teams with prioritizing and creating product plans and roadmaps\n\nResearch and present investment strategies\n\nCoordinate tax filing and estate planning\n\nWhat will set you apart\nActive designation(s) as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Enrolled Agent (EA), Equity Compensation Associate (ECA) or similar\n\n9+ years experience in a client-facing financial services roles\n\nExperience with in depth tax planning and building tax projections for clients\n\nSignificant experience in delivering financial advice directly to consumers\n\nExceptional investment acumen and knowledge of broader planning topics\n\nSignificant experience using financial services technology\n\nInterest in or passion for the tech space, and a desire to change the industry\n\nStrong organizational, leadership, and written communication skills\n\nBS or BA in Finance, Accounting, or other related major preferred\n\nCompensation\nBase salary range: $180,000 - $280,000\nThis is the base salary range we expect in good faith to pay for this role and level at the time of posting. Where an offer lands within the range depends on the scope and complexity of work the candidate can own independently and demonstrated depth at this level.\nOther compensation and benefits\nThe range above reflects base salary only. Our offer packages also include equity in the form of stock options, so total compensation for this role will exceed the base salary range. We do not ask for or consider salary history.
