You collaborate openly through radical transparency, ensuring alignment and trust among teammates and stakeholders.\nWhat we’re looking for\nDeep expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or other programming languages\n\nExtensive experience designing, building, and operating production systems on AWS or similar cloud platforms (EC2, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch)\n\nProven ability to work across the stack - frontend, backend, infrastructure - and make sound tradeoffs between them\n\nTrack record of leading technical projects that span multiple services or systems\n\nExperience defining technical direction for a team, including architecture decisions, tooling choices, and engineering standards\n\nProven ability to architect, debug, and ship using AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) - not just prompting, but knowing when the output is wrong, why, and how to fix it\n\nStrong communication skills - you can align engineers and stakeholders around a technical approach\n\nWhat will set you apart\nExperience designing scalable, high-availability distributed systems\n\nExperience building and maintaining complex web applications with React and TypeScript at scale\n\nExcellent product instincts - you partner with product and design to shape what gets built, not just how\n\nAbility to take a loosely defined business problem and drive it to a well-scoped technical solution\n\nTrack record of raising the bar for engineering quality across a team (testing practices, observability, incident response)\n\nSecurity engineering experience\n\nFintech experience\n\nStartup experience\n\nNot for you if\nYou need a fully scoped PRD before you can start working\n\nYou're offended by the idea that AI changes everything about this job\n\nYou'd rather debate architecture than ship and iterate\n\nYou optimize for consensus over conviction\n\nYou think \"move fast\" means lower the bar\n\nCompensation\nBase salary range: $150,000 - $250,000\nThis is the base salary range we expect in good faith to pay for this role at the time of posting.
