# Field Technician Level 1

The Field Technician Level 1 supports experienced field crews in the safe setup, maintenance, and operation of tapping and line-stopping equipment while learning Rangeline’s systems and standards. This role is ideal for individuals who bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a physically demanding environment. Experience in underground utilities or construction is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water main systems Support setup and teardown of tapping, line-stop, and valve insertion equipment Clean and maintain tools, trucks, and work areas Load and unload materials and equipment Follow instructions from senior technicians and job leads on site Participate in pre-job safety meetings and follow safety protocols Complete basic documentation such as safety checklists or field reports as directed Observe and learn proper procedures for tapping, stopping, and field repairs Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills Ability to follow oral and written directions Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Clear commun
