The Software QA Engineer will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. He/She will review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics. He/She will also design and implement tests and help in debugging and corrective actions. Ultimately, he/she will monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES\nReviews requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.\nLiaises with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.\nCreates detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.\nPerforms and takes ownership of the testing activities.\nDesigns, develops, and executes automation scripts using defined tools (where applicable).\nIdentifies, records, documents thoroughly and tracks bugs.\nPerforms thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.\nMonitors the process of fixing bugs and ensures the success of corrections.\nInvestigates the causes of non-conforming software.\nTracks quality assurance metrics like test execution progress, defect densities and open defect counts.\nStay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.\nReceives predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review.\nRaise flags to QA Lead on needs and opportunities for improvement of Quality practice.\nFollows RAPP IO Agile governance approaches - such as ticket descriptions, metrics, dashboards, and reporting.\nCollaborates with project management teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.\nFollows RAPP IO standards and supports the overall success of this group within the organization.\nFollows process and documentation standards with the end goal of top-efficiency and quality.\nEvaluates and promotes teamwork, initiative, work ethic, values adherence, and reports findings to discipline leads.\nEnsures effective communication and promotes a sense of participation and involvement.\nREQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS\nACADEMIC BACKGROUND\nDesirable: Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied Computing, Software Engineering or related field\nSFMC Email Specialist certified\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE\n0-2 years of experience in software quality assurance.\nGood knowledge of information & communication technologies.\nKnowledge of SQL and scripting.\nLANGUAGES\nFull professional proficiency in English.\nSKILLS / COMPETENCIES\nCommunicates effectively: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.\nAttentively listens to others.\nAdjusts to fit the audience and the message.\nProvides timely and helpful information to others across the organization.\nEncourages the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions.\nSelf-development: Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels.\nShows personal commitment and acts to continuously improve.\nAccepts assignments that broaden capabilities.\nLearns from new experiences, from others, and from structured learning.\nAction Oriented: Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.\nReadily acts on challenges, without unnecessary planning.\nIdentifies and seizes new opportunities.\nDisplays a can-do attitude in good and bad times.\nSteps up to handle tough issues.\nNimble Learning: Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.\nLearns quickly when facing new situations.\nExperiments to find new solutions.\nTakes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.\nExtracts lessons learned from failures and mistakes.\nSPECIFIC CERTIFICATIONS/SPECIALTIES/COURSEWORK\nMastery of office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS\nThis job operates in a professional office environment.
