You will manage key parts of our embedded stack, including MCU drivers, control loops, and hardware abstraction layers, owning them end to end from design through implementation, testing, and field debugging alongside our Electronics, Embedded Systems, and Robotics Software engineers.\nKey responsibilities:\nDesigning and implementing firmware modules: communication protocol handlers, sensor drivers, state machines, and diagnostic subsystems \nDebugging hardware-software boundary issues using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG/SWD, and bus analysis tools \nReading and interpreting electronic schematics independently \nChoosing RTOS primitives deliberately - understanding ISR constraints, priority inversion, and concurrency failure modes \nContributing to embedded software architecture across the full stack: bare-metal firmware, RTOS configuration, hardware abstraction, host-side platform libraries, and real-time control loops. \nWriting design documents that explain why decisions were made, not just what was implemented \nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications\n5+ years of embedded systems product development with shipped hardware \nProficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems \nHands-on experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M or equivalent) \nRTOS experience in production: Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or equivalent - task scheduling, ISR constraints, concurrency primitives \nExperience with communication protocols: I2C, SPI, CAN, UART \nSchematic reading - can navigate a PCB schematic to trace a signal path without guidance \nDebugging with oscilloscope, logic analyser, and JTAG/SWD \nWhat We Value in This Role\nOwnership - you hold a module end to end;
