The role will ensure that maintenance requests are attended to, basic repairs are completed, contractors and cleaners are managed, and the premises remain clean, safe and presentable.\nMain Duties\nManage and follow up on facilities and property maintenance tickets until completion.\nConduct regular inspections of buildings and facilities and identify maintenance requirements.\nCarry out basic handyman and minor repair work where practical and safe to do so.\nArrange contractors for electrical, plumbing and other specialist repairs when required.\nCoordinate general maintenance of offices, buildings, gates, fencing, electric fencing and other non-plant infrastructure.\nManage cleaning staff and ensure offices, staff bathrooms, canteen and common areas are kept clean and presentable.\nCoordinate pest control, including rodents and insects.\nObtain quotations and coordinate contractors and service providers.\nCheck that work has been completed satisfactorily.\nMonitor cleaning materials, consumables and general facilities requirements.\nKeep basic records of outstanding and completed maintenance work.\nReport significant building, safety or maintenance concerns to management.\nAssist with minor property improvements and renovations.\nMinimum Requirements:\nMatric / Grade 12.\nPrevious facilities, property maintenance or similar practical experience would be advantageous.\nMust be practically minded and able to carry out basic handyman and general repair work independently.\nComfortable using basic hand and power tools.\nBasic knowledge of building maintenance.\nAbility to coordinate cleaners, contractors and service providers.\nGood organisational and problem-solving skills.\nBasic computer skills.\nValid driver's licence.\nKey Skills\nPractical and hands-on.\nReliable with good follow-through.\nWell organised and able to prioritise.\nGood attention to detail.\nAble to work independently.\nCost- and safety-conscious.\nGood communication
