Serving as the primary commercial contracting resource for Sales and a risk-based resource for Operations, this role will coordinate cross-functional reviews, maintain contracting discipline, confirm proposal-to-contract alignment, and ensure a complete handoff to project teams. Legal will retain responsibility for legal interpretation, legal approvals, and material legal matters.\nEssential Functions\nPre-Award Contracting & Commercial Coordination\nServe as the primary commercial contracting resource supporting Sales from receipt of a proposed customer agreement through contract execution.\nCoordinate cross-functional reviews and maintain redlines, issue lists, risk summaries, negotiation matrices, decisions, approvals, version control, and a clear audit trail.\nEstablish owners, track outstanding actions and dependencies, and drive open items toward timely resolution.\nIdentify and escalate material commercial and operational risks while referring legal interpretations, legal approvals, and material legal matters to Legal.\nSupport negotiation strategy and customer contract discussions and confirm alignment with the approved scope, pricing, schedule, assumptions, exclusions, clarifications, and supplier commitments.\nFacilitate a complete handoff of negotiated obligations, commercial positions, and open commitments to the project execution team.\nContract Governance & Process Improvement\nEstablish and continuously improve contract-review processes, workflows, templates, controls, and decision records across the contract lifecycle.\nEvaluate and implement contract-management tools and provide concise reporting on cycle time, open risks, approvals, and agreements approaching execution.\nPost-Award Contract Administration & Commercial Protection\nTranslate executed agreements into concise contract summaries, obligation matrices, and project kickoff requirements.\nProvide risk-based post-award contract support, prioritizing strategic, complex, or higher-risk projects and material commercial events while enabling project teams to administer routine obligations consistently.\nPartner with Project Managers to identify changes, delays, directives, differing conditions, and other entitlement events; support timely notices and change-order documentation.\nMonitor pending or unapproved changes and escalate material commercial exposure before significant out-of-scope work proceeds.\nSupport claims documentation, event chronologies, entitlement positions, and coordination with Legal on material disputes and contract interpretations.\nPartner with Supply Chain and Project Management to align major subcontract and supplier obligations with prime-contract requirements.\nProject Controls, Reporting & Closeout\nConnect contractual events and changes with project cost, schedule, forecast, and monthly risk reporting.\nSupport final changes, releases, warranties, lien waivers, final account reconciliation, and other contractual closeout requirements.\nCapture lessons learned and provide structured feedback to Sales, Estimating, Operations, Supply Chain, and Legal to improve future contract positions, pricing assumptions, and risk allocation.\nQualifications\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.\nFive (5)+ years of experience in construction contract administration, commercial management, project controls, project management, or a related discipline.\nDemonstrated experience supporting pre-award contract review and negotiation and administering commercial construction, electrical infrastructure, EPC, or design-build contracts.\nWorking knowledge of redlines, approvals, change orders, notices, claims, payment provisions, warranties, bonding, insurance, and contract closeout.\nAbility to interpret complex contracts, identify commercial and operational implications, and translate requirements into clear actions for Sales and project teams.\nStrong written communication, organization, negotiation, and cross-functional stakeholder-management skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nJD (Juris Doctor) from a credited law school is preferred\nExperience within electrical construction, power, energy infrastructure, BESS, distributed generation, microgrids, EV infrastructure, switchgear, or other complex capital-project environments.\nExperience supporting customer contract negotiations and administering EPC and/or design-build agreements.\nExperience with major equipment procurement and supplier contracts.\nFamiliarity with AIA, Consensus, customized contract forms, and contract-management systems; CCM, CPCM/NCMA, PMP, or similar certification is a plus.\nAbout RavenVolt, an ABM Company\nRavenVolt is a turnkey energy solutions and construction (EPC) management provider, specializing in providing tailored onsite energy solutions to increase energy reliability and resilience while minimizing long-term operational costs.
