Responsibilities\n\nThe ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of\naccounting and administrative duties, including: \n\n Maintaining\n accurate financial records by recording daily receipts, payments, and\n journal entries in the accounting software.\n\n Performing\n regular bank, mobile money, and petty cash reconciliations.\n\n Managing\n accounts payable and receivable functions, including verifying invoices\n and following up on outstanding balances.\n\n Assisting\n in the preparation and timely filing of statutory returns with the Uganda\n Revenue Authority (URA), including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and NSSF.\n\n Ensuring\n compliance with local tax regulations, including generating EFRIS-compliant\n invoices.\n\n Supporting\n the finance team during internal and external audits by providing\n necessary documentation and explanations.\n\n Handling\n general administrative and clerical support tasks within the finance\n department. \n\nQualifications and Experience\n\n Education: A\n bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a\n related field from a recognized university is required.\n\n Professional\n Certification: Partial completion of a professional qualification\n like CPA (Uganda) or ACCA (at least\n Level 1 or 2) is an added advantage.\n\n Experience: A\n minimum of 3-5years of relevant work experience in an\n active accounting or bookkeeping role is mandatory.\n\n Technical\n Skills:\n Proficiency\n in Microsoft Excel is essential.\n\n Hands-on\n experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or\n Sage is required.\n\n Familiarity\n with the URA portal and EFRIS system is a must. \n\nCore Competencies\n\n High\n level of integrity, attention to detail, and numerical accuracy.\n\n Strong\n organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet\n deadlines and work under pressure.\n\n Excellent\n written and verbal communication skills.\n\n Ability\n to work both
