Key Responsibilities The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting and administrative duties, including: Maintaining accurate financial records by recording daily receipts, payments, and journal entries in the accounting software. Performing regular bank, mobile money, and petty cash reconciliations. Managing accounts payable and receivable functions, including verifying invoices and following up on outstanding balances. Assisting in the preparation and timely filing of statutory returns with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and NSSF. Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, including generating EFRIS-compliant invoices. Supporting the finance team during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Handling general administrative and clerical support tasks within the finance department. Qualifications and Experience Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized university is required. Professional Certification: Partial completion of a professional qualification like CPA (Uganda)
