{"id":1373935,"url":"https://alion.io/job/rawlings-manufacturing-maintenance-technician","title":"Manufacturing Maintenance Technician","company":{"id":1802859,"name":"Rawlings","domain":"rawlings.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/rawlings-com","size_band":"501-1000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"ADP","truth_index":{"grade":"A","score":95,"open_postings":3,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":0,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":139,"computed_at":"2026-10-25T05:49:26Z"}},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":"middle","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Tullahoma, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":50000,"max_usd":90000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":4621},"experience_years_min":3,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-06-03T17:16:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-06-03","last_verified_at":"2026-10-25T13:07:01Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":143,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":0,"flags":[],"days_open":143},"description":"Job Title: Manufacturing Maintenance Technician\nDepartment: Maintenance\nReports to: Plant Manager\nFLSA Status: Hourly\nGeneral Overview: Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance on all production machinery; troubleshooting and performing overall maintenance on all production machinery and facilities; construction and implementation of procedure improvements; monitoring of inventory and ordering of maintenance supplies.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nPerform all maintenance related operations in a safe manner and follow prescribed safety procedures always adhering to proper PPE \nPerform preventive maintenance on all production machinery\nTroubleshoot and perform overall maintenance on all production machinery\nConstruct and implement improvement procedures\nUnload incoming product and supply shipments\nCommunicate production concerns as it relates to maintenance with the Plant Manager\nAssist with company and departmental moves\nMaintain building and grounds for the Manufacturing buildings\nInspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.\nDiagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.\nInspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.\nPlan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.\nIndividual must be able to work overtime when required\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Required:\nPrefer two-year degree in manufacturing maintenance or three years of related manufacturing work experience\nAbility to multi-task and work under time constraints in high pressure situations\nExperience in electronics\nKnowledge of welding \nForklift operating experience\nIndividual must have ability to work alone or with limited supervision\nKnowledge of using hand air tools including drills, saws, and grinders.\nIndividual should have effective communication skills to effectively hand off in-process maintenance repairs to the next shift \nKnowledge of using hand tools including hammers, screw drivers, saws, and drills\nKnowledge of using wire feed arc welder, propane torch, hand floor jack, hydraulic pumps, and two-part resin dispensing system.\nAbility to work overtime when required\nWorking Conditions: Manufacturing work environment\nSafety Hazards: Exposure e to dust, air borne fibers, fumes, dirt, noise, vibrations, chemicals, and solvents. Work is also performed outside in extreme temperatures ranging from hot and humid to snow and freezing temperatures. Walking between buildings year-round is required.\nSafety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe boots, and gloves are required while performing certain tasks.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS \nAbility to read and interpret documents such as contracts, ability to write advertising, reports, and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must have proven exceptional written presentation and verbal communication skills.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS \nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra. The individual must be able to proficiently read a tape measure.\nREASONING ABILITY \nAbility to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
