Take charge of getting new hardware boards running, troubleshooting them and fitting them into a larger sensing system. Collaborate closely with colleagues in programmable logic, embedded software, systems and mechanical assembly, and help ready the hardware for larger production runs.\nWhat you'll do\n- Drive the first power-up and validation of several circuit board designs and make sure they work together as a complete subsystem.\n- Investigate electrical faults in power delivery, high-speed signals and radio-frequency behavior, find the underlying causes and push quick design fixes.\n- Coordinate with an outside layout partner on schematic changes and layout reviews, following each new board revision from build through testing.\n- Join forces with software, logic and systems engineers to confirm that the hardware performs correctly when combined with their work.\n- Create test procedures and record-keeping practices so the hardware can be built in higher quantities.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for\n- 3 to 7 years of professional electrical engineering experience.\n- A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering.\n- Proven hands-on experience bringing up and debugging complex populated circuit boards.\n- Solid mixed-signal design background, including data converters, power conversion and RF connections.\n- Familiarity with PCB design software and schematic review, ideally Altium.\n- A self-directed approach to spotting and fixing problems without waiting for instruction.\n- Ability to work on-site five days per week.\n- Must be a US person (citizen or green card holder).\nBonus points\n- Exposure to communications, radar or other sophisticated sensing hardware.\n- Time spent in a startup or similarly fast-moving setting.\n- Experience getting FPGA-based platforms running.\nBenefits\nCompensation and benefits\n- Base salary: USD 160,000 to
