Develop embedded firmware for motor control and real-time robotic systems, working directly with hardware teams on integration and testing.\nWhat you'll do\n- Build microcontroller and embedded Linux firmware for motor control.\n- Develop and debug low-level communications.\n- Implement real-time behavior using embedded operating systems.\n- Bring up new circuit boards and integrate electromechanical hardware.\n- Connect firmware with higher-level robot communication frameworks.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for\n- 3 to 10 years of relevant firmware or embedded systems experience.\n- A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, robotics, or mechatronics.\n- Strong C and C++ skills for embedded systems.\n- BLDC motor control experience, including field-oriented control and PWM.\n- Real-time operating system experience and hands-on CAN, RS-485, SPI, or UART knowledge.\n- Comfort debugging firmware in a hardware laboratory.\nBonus points\n- Experience bringing up circuit boards or working at a robotics startup.\n- ROS or DDS integration experience.\nBenefits\nCompensation and benefits\n- Base salary: USD 100,000 to 300,000 per year.\n- Equity: Competitive equity.\n- Relocation support.\nLocation and work model\n- Onsite in San Mateo, in the San Francisco Bay Area.\n- Visa support is described for O-1, H-1B, and TN categories;
