Join a manufacturing team as a junior machinist, operating assigned CNC equipment under close training and progressing over time to producing parts on your own. The role suits people with a technical school background or a natural knack for mechanical work who are keen to commit to a hands-on trade.\nWhat you'll do\n- Run assigned CNC equipment and become proficient in each operation before taking on more complex work.\n- Develop the ability to interpret both three-dimensional designs and two-dimensional technical drawings, growing toward autonomous production.\n- Keep output quality high and hit production schedules on assigned work.\n- Share shop-floor observations with engineers who build manufacturing tools.\n- Work assigned day, night or weekend shifts as needed.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for\n- Foundational shop skills from a technical program, or an obvious knack for mechanical work.\n- Interest in building skill at interpreting technical drawings and three-dimensional designs.\n- Eagerness to pick up computer-controlled machining through structured practice on the floor.\n- Comfort working in a physically demanding shop environment.\n- Strong work ethic, openness to coaching and pride in well-made parts.\n- One to three years of relevant experience, or a trade-school machining background or a career change from construction or another trade.\n- Full-time, on-site availability in Toronto with reliable commuting.\nBonus points\n- Top-of-class trade-school performance.\n- Prior hands-on trade
