Act as the first design hire and work side by side with company leadership on the end-to-end user experience across desktop and mobile. The job mixes hands-on feature design on a rapid weekly release rhythm, regular review of the live product, and firsthand conversations with users.\nWhat you'll do\n- Deliver design for each feature that is released, roughly three per week, across several desktop and mobile operating systems.\n- Craft experiences that feel at home on each operating system instead of reusing one generic layout everywhere.\n- Use the product every day, note gaps and rough edges, and suggest practical fixes.\n- Speak with users directly and convert their feedback into realistic usage scenarios.\n- Help guide the overall design direction together with the founders.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for\n- Background designing applications for desktop and mobile that follow each platform's own conventions, not just web page layouts.\n- An online portfolio that stands on its own as proof of strong product design, included with your application.\n- Ability to design and ship at a fast pace within a very small founding team.\n- Comfort talking with users and turning those conversations into design choices.\n- Experience with polished, high-quality consumer design.\n- At least 3 years of relevant experience.\n- Availability for full overlap with Pacific time working hours.\nBonus points\n- Some engineering skill, for example building features yourself or prototyping interactions in TypeScript.\n- Familiarity with the design systems and visual conventions of major operating systems.\n- Prior use of the product and clear opinions on how it could be better.\n- Visible design work
