Own a full litigation docket from the first filing through trial, working largely independently with guidance from senior partners. The role calls for polished writing, steady client responsiveness and a defined annual billable-hours commitment.\nWhat you'll do\n- Carry civil matters through every stage of the litigation process, from initial pleadings to appearances in court.\n- Manage your own docket with limited oversight and respond quickly to client requests.\n- Advise on a mix of property-related disputes, insolvency-related matters and post-judgment recovery work.\n- Learn a specialized area of practice and its governing statutes by working closely with the managing partners.\n- Reach an annual billable-hours goal of 1,800 while keeping written work at a consistently high standard.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for\n- 7+ years of focused litigation experience, including trial-stage work and strong command of day-to-day procedure.\n- JD and active California Bar membership.\n- Track record of independently handling pleadings, motions, discovery and hearings.\n- Background at a firm handling property, association or construction-related disputes.\n- Exceptional written advocacy, with a writing sample reviewed during interviews and no tolerance for careless errors.\n- Familiarity with property law, organizational governance or recorded community rules and related statutes.\n- Self-directed working style: takes feedback on board the first time and delivers drafts that are close to final.\n- Based in Southern California (Los Angeles area preferred), available on Pacific hours and able to visit an office occasionally.\n- Ability to meet the annual billable-hours requirement.\nBonus points\n- Exposure to bankruptcy work for creditors or to collections after judgment.\n- Some courtroom trial experience rather than pre-trial work alone.\nBenefits\nCompensation
