Design, build and protect the technical foundation for a hands-on operating environment that blends on-premises hardware with a cloud presence. The work combines automation, network architecture and security practice. You will be based on-site part of the week alongside real physical equipment.\nWhat you'll do\n- Architect and grow local networking, compute and storage capacity that handles very large data volumes.\n- Build a custom network from scratch using automation and pipeline tooling, then pass routine operation to a support team through documented procedures.\n- Lead security work such as firewall configuration, safeguarding connected machinery, adversarial testing of web systems and responding to incidents.\n- Set up and operate secure cloud environments and link them to on-premises sites.\n- Support the rollout of additional facilities as the business grows.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for\n- Around 7 or more years in infrastructure, systems or security roles, including some on-premises exposure.\n- A career spent mostly in fast-moving startups, ideally owning a function as its first hire.\n- Solid AWS expertise and automation skills with Terraform, Ansible and CI/CD, plus scripting in Python and Bash.\n- Strong grasp of network fundamentals and hands-on experience designing networks rather than only configuring vendor consoles.\n- Practical security background covering testing, risk assessment and handling security events.\n- Willingness to work in the office three set days each week.\nBonus points\n- Prior support of on-site infrastructure tied
