Build and own features across the full stack, from interface to services to deployment, on new products in a small, early engineering group. The work leans toward backend systems that handle heavy transaction traffic, and the role carries wide influence over architecture and engineering practice.\nWhat you'll do\n- Deliver complete features across the user interface, server logic and deployment.\n- Design and scale backend services for lending, payments, payouts and ledger workloads that must handle very high volume.\n- Build workflow tools for small businesses covering payroll, point of sale and inventory tracking, connected to a regulated banking partner.\n- Adopt AI-assisted development practices and help shape how the team builds software.\n- Work closely with product, design and engineering colleagues to ship quickly in a greenfield setting.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for\n- Stronger on server-side work than interface work, with experience across the whole stack.\n- Experience owning a production system at large scale, with an example of a difficult technical problem solved there.\n- Comfort in fast-paced, young companies that are scaling quickly.\n- Experience building both front-end and back-end systems.\n- Four to eight or more years of software engineering experience.\nBonus points\n- Background working with databases and message queuing systems.\n- Experience in payments engineering, such as payouts, ledgers or cross-border transactions.\n- Experience at a large technology company followed by a move to a startup, or on a high-performing large-company team.\n- A computer science degree from a top-ranked U.S. university.\nBenefits\nCompensation and benefits\n- Base salary: USD
